This piece of art I started and finished in December of 2009. This piece began as an exploration of the Tyrannosaurus Rex from a series of skeletal studies and two early Tyrannosaurus Rex illustrations. These studies combined with a sort of "dual" self portrait (the driver being based on myslef at my current stage in life and the passenger being more or less based on a much younger me). Dinosaurland is a digital illustration. I created this work on a Mac Pro with a Cintiq 21UX . I used Sketchbook Pro 2010 for all line art and greyscale values and completed the color overpainting in Photoshop CS3.
